Halo is a trilogy that was developed and launched on November 15, 2001. The game was initially intended to be released for Windows and mac’s but in the year 2000 Microsoft’s purchase of Bungie led to an Xbox launch common to the whole trilogy. The game revolves around battling aliens on foot and in vehicles to complete objectives, alongside attempting to uncover the secrets of the eponymous Halo. The sequel was released on Xbox and later for windows- for the first time the game was being released in two different forms a standard and a traditional Xbox package. Halo was played on the Xbox predominantly, and it held that title for around 2 years; also, the longest streak among any games that has ever held the spot.

The final game of the trilogy was released in the year 2007. Following the split of Bungie to Microsoft. A Microsoft studio established and took the help of the Halo franchise and the subsequent games released- Halo 4 and Halo 5, the spinoffs which were created from Halo 3. On May 21, 2013 the Xbox entertainment studios and 343’s studio announcement shook the Gaming industry by stating that a live-action, television-show of Halo would be produced with Steven Spielberg serving as the executive producer through Amblin TV.
A year later Xbox entertainment shut down in 2014 and a few years down the line it was announced that the series would premiere on the American premium cable network showtime. Time kept passing, and it was in development for many years and after 4 years, on March 1, 2018 the shoot for the series began. Due to various complications, Wyatt dropped out of the project as the director and the producer. Hence, the release date was pushed to early 2021, it was also said that the filming was incorrectly reported to have officially began in 2019.
At long last the filming began in February 2021 and the show has been released on 24th March 2022. As the first episode released, it has resulted with mixed reactions. The series starts in the year 2552 with the life on the Insurrection – controlled mining world off Madrigal. The pilot juggles with trying to appeal to both the fans and new-comers alike, explaining the world and the characters to everyone as well as trying to not bore long-time veterans of the series. It throws more like a curve ball, while still remaining respectful to the source material. With adverse reactions to the female lead- fans and first-time watchers were pleasantly surprised with the violence and action that was brought to life through the show.
